The EXT-VGA-CAT5-148R 1x8 VGA CAT5 Distribution Receiver from Gefen is one piece of a larger system that allows you to extend the distance of signal transmissions up to 330 feet away from your equipment using CAT-5 cables. This unit works in conjunction with the 1x8 VGA CAT5 Distribution Sender. It connects to that unit and receives VGA signals from it flawlessly despite the extended distance between equipment.
The 1x8 VGA CAT5 Distribution Sender accepts (1) source feed and outputs it to (8) separate channels. Up to (8) of these VGA CAT5 Distribution Receivers can be connected to the sender device. This unit also supports Component video distribution and maintains 1920 x 1200 resolution video.
