The Gefen ToolBox High Definition 1080p Scaler (Black) is designed to perform scaling of an HDMI source and provides the display device with its native resolution for a high quality display. Using a high performance frame rate conversion engine, the scaler provides output with resolutions up to 1080p full HD and 2K. It supports down scaling of signals for enhanced connectivity options in a multi-display distribution system.
Featuring auto 3:2 pull-down and 2:2 pull-down detection and recovery, the High Definition 1080p Scaler avoids compatibility issues between a source and the display. Using a proprietary advanced color engine technology, it provides brilliant color, intensified contrast and details, vivid skin tones, and sharp edges for a crisp picture quality. It also supports DVI-D signals when used with appropriate adaptors.
Providing crystal clear audio by support for Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD master audio, and up to 8 channels of LPCM via HDMI, the High Definition 1080p Scaler also supports Dolby digital AC3, DTS digital surround, and 2-channel LPCM via S/PDIF and TOSLINK. Featuring a built-in on-screen display and using front panel buttons, the scaler allows you to manually control the scaling resolution, select audio input, aspect ratio control, etc. In addition, it works with an optional remote control (not included), and also accepts RS-232 control signals.
