The 10/100/1000 32-Bit Internal PCI Gigabit Ethernet Card from Hiro complies with 32-bit PCI specification and supports half/full-duplex function which can double network speed. Auto-Negotiation technology smoothly switches drivers between 1000 Mb/s, 100 Mb/s, and 10 Mb/s, full or half-duplex, and LAN connections. When you connect the adapter to a Gigabit Switch or another Gigabit NIC, the speed will be doubled to 2000 Mb/s (1000 Mb/s transmit and 1000 Mb/s receive).
If you connect the adapter to 100Base TX hub, the network speed is 100 Mb/s. Similarly, if the hub is a switch, which supports full duplex function, the speed will be doubled to 200 Mb/s. This adapter supports 10/100/1000 Mb/s network speed, 1000BaseT operates on all four pairs of category 5e UTP cable, 100BaseTX operates on two pairs of category 5 UTP cable, and 10BaseT operates on Category 3, 4, 5 UTP cable.
