The Vega LED Video + Photo Dive Light from Ikelite is useful as a video, macro photography, focusing or backup dive light, and has a depth rating of 300'. It outputs a maximum of 2200 lumens at a beam angle of 65° and a color temperature of 5700K. Output can be reduced to 1100 lumens (1/2 power) or 550 lumens (1/4 power) via the large, easy-to-turn dial on the rear of the light, which also has a secondary off position with lock, in order to prevent the light from accidentally turning on when not in use.
The Vega will burn for up to 45 min on high power or 180 min on low power with its built-in lithium-ion battery, which is recharged via the supplied UK charger. Two gold-plated, independently waterproofed charging ports are hidden when the switch is in the safety lock position, to protect them and prevent debris from getting in. The charger runs on 100-240VAC and includes a 4' power cord. Once the battery is charged, the charger will automatically turn off and indicate that the battery is ready.
Six LED indicators on the back of the light provide power level and remaining battery information, and are bright enough to be seen during a daytime dive but still be unobtrusive at night. Additionally, the light features 46mm front threads enabling the attachment of optional filters, such as those for color correction. The optional, lightweight 4087.25 Vega Flex Arm includes mounts for any Ikelite tray, release handle, or DSLR housing's top mount. The Vega can also be attached to virtually any 1" ball, 1/2" flex or 3/4" flex arm system using optional mounts. It is designed, built by hand, and tested in the USA.
