Protect your important data against fire, water, and theft with the 1515+ 20TB 5-Bay NAS Server from ioSafe. This isn't just any NAS enclosure, the 1515+ features FloSafe Venting, along with DataCast Fire and HydroSafe Water Protections. With the DataCast Fire Protection your critical information is safe against fire as it is able to withstand temperatures of up to 1550°F (843°C). HydroSafe water protection guards against disasters like floods allowing the NAS enclosure to be submerged in up to 10 ft (3 m) of water for up to 72 hours. You can also secure the 1515+ as it comes equipped with a Kensington security lock slot as well as optional floor mount and rack mount kits for added protection.
Inside the outer fireproof and inner waterproof doors you will find five SATA II drive bays capable of housing up to five HDDs or SSDs. The drive bays are backed up by a quad core 2.4 GHz CPU and 2GB DDR3 RAM. On the outside of the enclosure you can take advantage of four USB 3.0 and two eSATA ports to connect this NAS enclosure to a variety of computer configurations. Network connectivity is achieved through four Gigabit Ethernet ports.
Keeping the enclosure cool are two replaceable fans that draw air through the FloSafe Vents and across the HydroSafe chamber. This enclosure is made fireproof with the help of a water-based insulation. This non-toxic, liquid based insulation helps to keep the internal components cool as it converts to steam during a fire the same way boiling water keeps a pot or pan from burning. This in turn keeps your drives and the data they contain safe.
