The Jag35 Straight Rig Basic v2 shoulder rig is a camera support intended for use with DSLR cameras when using an external monitor. It includes a Jag35 single railblock that provides a 1/4"-20 threaded shaft for mounting an external monitor to the rig. The rig allows the operator to support the camera using their shoulder and not just their arms, reducing arm fatigue. The rig positions the camera off to the side keeping the weight in line with the operator's shoulder. This allows the operator to have a better view of their surroundings when operating, which is not the case with rigs that position the camera directly in front of the operator.
Locking pins are provided specifically for use with the Canon 5D Mark II, 7D, T2I and 60D, which prevent these cameras from pivoting on the mounting block. The straight rig basic v2 is compatible with industry standard 15mm rods and available 15mm accessories such as follow focus units, zoom motors, and rod clamps. Water and tear resistant foam covered handles provide a durable cushioned grip. Multiple adjustment points allow you to adjust the rig for balance and comfort. The 15 mm rod design allows you to customize and upgrade your rig by adding accessories as needed. The unit is made from anodized CNC machined 6061 aluminum for strength, durability and resistance to corrosion
