necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Computers & Solutions - Computer Peripherals - DVI/VGA KVM Extenders.
The KanexPro A/V 1x4 1000 ft Extender System w/ VGA & CAT5e/6 takes a media source input by VGA and stereo audio, and outputs up to five signals simultaneously -- one set over VGA and stereo for monitoring nearby, and four over CAT5e/6 cables that can be as long as 1000 feet each.
The CAT5e/6 cables connect to one of four included receiver units that each has a set of VGA and stereo outputs. The cables don't all have to be of same length. A gain and peaking rotary switch on each receiver adjusts brightness and skew to compensate for differences in cable lengths. As for quality connections, each receiver unit performs its own separate buffering to maintain signal integrity and to reject noise interference.
The A/V Extender System supports resolutions as high as WUXGA 1920x1200@60Hz and can be used with all such computers, HDTVs, and projectors. The transmitter itself can be mounted under-desk or on a rack. A 5V DC external power supply is included for use.
