This B&H Kit combines the Korg Volca Beats with the Teenage Engineering PO-14 Sub Bass Synthesizer, a silicone case, a stereo mini cable, and a pair of AA batteries to create a powerful electronic music production setup. The Volca Beats is an analog rhythm machine featuring powerful drum sounds and an Electribe-style loop sequencer. Additionally, its Sync In and Out ports allow clock sync of multiple instruments from the Volca Series as well as the Pocket Operator P0-14. It also has a MIDI Input for note entry, as well as external sync and control from your DAW. The Volca Beats' real analog drum sounds were created with reference to classic rhythm machines. The user interface features individual knobs for each of six analog parameters. The PCM sound engine further expands the possibilities.
The Teenage Engineering PO-14 Sub Bass Synthesizer runs on the included AA batteries and features multiple real synthesizer engines including FM, subtractive synthesis, wave table, and physically modeled strings with 16 punch-in effects including delay, bit crusher, and filters. It also includes 16 punch-in bass-oriented playing styles. The punch-in play styles are a quick way to create melodies. The concept is to minimize the effort of entering a complete series of notes in a sequence by simply adding one or a few notes and then allowing the punch-in function to fill in variations of the notes that follow. The silicone case is specifically designed for the Pocket Operator PO-14 Sub Bass synthesizer and sequencer. The case not only offers protection to the circuit board, but also provides anti-slip feet, battery protection, and professional feel buttons. The 10' stereo mini (3.5mm) cable features male TRS to male TRS connectors that pass sound and sync messages between the Volca Beats and the PO-14.
