The VS-41HD 4x1:2 HD-SDI & SDI Digital Video Switcher from Comprehensive/Kramer is designed for use with SDI (SMPTE 259M and SMPTE 344M) and HD-SDI (SMPTE 292M) digital video signals. It allows for switching during the vertical interval to ensure glitch-free switching with genlocked sources. This unit is well suited for work in professional broadcasting & production studios, post-production work, and other similar settings and applications.
It offers bandwidth capacity of 1.485Gbps and is HDTV compatible. Automatic reclocking and equalization ensures signal integrity, even with extended cable runs. The unit may be controlled via its front-panel interface, RS-232, RS-485, Ethernet, contact closure, or IR remote control.
A proprietary feature called Active Input Type Reporting allows you to synchronize either to an external reference or incoming video source. Other features include bi-level or tri-level sync compatibility, selectable sync signal termination, a looping analog sync input, and front-panel control lockout. The unit includes a worldwide power supply and may be mounted in a standard 19" equipment rack with the included rack ears.
