With the stable, compact, and lightweight lansky 4-Rod Turn Box Knife Sharpener, you can get the edges of your blades in top form in just a few quick strokes. The unit is a hardwood box with four 5" alumina ceramic rods protruding from holes in the top. Two are gray and have medium 600 grit for the quickest, most effective sharpening, while the other two are white and have fine 1000 grit for finishing touches. Additionally, the base of the box has storage slots for a couple of rods.
There are two pre-set rod angles in the wood block: 20° and 25°. The 20° angle is best when you want a very sharp edge, which is ideal for filet, fishing, and hunting knives. Blades honed at this angle will require more regular maintenance. The 25° angle results in less sharpness and is useful for kitchen knives.
Designed with convenience in mind, the Turn Box can be disassembled quickly for storage in a drawer. Its compact size also allows it to fit easily in a bag when you're on the go.
