The 25" PSC Breakaway Cable for the Zaxcom Production Sound System is designed to connect the Nomad to most video cameras. The Nomad end of the cable features two TA5F connectors. One connector carries the audio output and the other connector carries the audio return.
The video camera end of the cable features two-full sized XLR-3M cables for connecting to the video camera inputs and a 3.5mm right-angled male mini plug to carry a tape return signal from the camera to the Nomad. A 3.5mm female mini jack allows the camera operator to connect a pair of headphones for monitoring. The entire snake cable is equipped with Neutricon 8-pin quick-release connectors allows the operator to quickly disconnect the umbilical cable from the camera.
