User manual for the Rane HAL4 Programmable DSP Audio Distribution Multiprocessor
The user manual for the Rane HAL4 Programmable DSP Audio Distribution Multiprocessor provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Pro Audio - Installation Sound - System Processors.
The HAL4 Programmable DSP Audio Distribution Multiprocessor from Rane allows you to easily create a network of audio and paging zones. It has 2100 MIPS of processing power, and includes its own Halogen control software for Windows, which assists in everything from dynamic signal routing to cable testing.
The HAL4 provides two on-board analog inputs and outputs in Euroblock format. Each input supports a dynamic mic, 48V phantom mic, +4 dBu line-level, or Rane's line-plus input. The line-plus mode accepts -10 dB unbalanced left/right monoed together on the "+" and "-" ports respectively. Line-plus also connects the stereo RCA left tip to the "+" terminal, the RCA right tip to the "-" terminal, and both RCA shields to the Euroblock ground.
If you own a Rane system processors and have a user manual in electronic form,
