Designed for use by police and military tactical personnel, the Schmidt & Bender 1.1-4x20 PM Short-Dot Riflescope combines the accuracy of a magnified optic with the fast target acquisition and tracking capabilities of a red-dot sight. To help compensate for the smaller objective and boost image brightness, index-matched anti-reflection lens coatings are employed that are custom-engineered to the lens glass for maximum light transmission. A modified duplex ranging reticle is etched on the glass for use at long range, while a red illuminated dot is projected into the center of the crosshairs for close engagements with both-eyes-open use. The dot has eleven intensity levels that allow it to be easily seen in all light, and 'off' positions between each level provides fast access to preferred settings.
