Seagate lets you configure this NAS as your own private cloud for power users and business environments with up to 25 employees. To help ensure 24 x 7 operations, the 3.5" NAS hard drives feature better vibration and temperature tolerances than standard drives and can be configured in RAID 1 with this enclosure.

Compatible with Windows, Mac, Linux, and Unix, this NAS is powered by an ARM 1.2 GHz processor that will manage the vast amounts of data on the drives as well as provide performance. The built-in 512MB of DDR3 RAM will deliver frequently-used files and help run multiple apps concurrently. Additionally, to help protect data and backup needs for enterprises, Seagate NAS OS 4 provides several security options, including AES 256-bit volume encryption, SSH, and CHAP authentication for iSCSI targets. Seagate also has free apps available that seamlessly integrate with your NAS to provide additional levels of protection. With the Daily Updates engine, Seagate Antivirus helps protect your data and systems from volatile threats, and the Seagate Surveillance Manager can be used to transform your NAS into a full-featured Network Video Recorder (NVR) for IP cameras.
