The Transitions Production Elements Collection (Audio CD/CD-ROM) from Sound Ideas is the third set in the "Noise Generator" collection that includes a variety of edgy, in-your-face transition effects from powerups, beams, vinyl sounds, rumbles, and much more. In all, there are 1229 royalty-free sound elements in over 100 different categories. There are real and synthesized sounds, and each of the events either has a sloped attack that builds to a climax, or has a climax that recedes. Each of the sounds is ideal for accenting wipes, fades, or dissolves, or covering holes in audio imaging. There is also a small selection of useful emulative sounds.
The sounds are included on a set of 2 audio CDs, which are color coded and fully indexed. They are also provided in 16-bit/44.1kHz WAV format on a CD-ROM. The CD-ROM is compatible with Mac and PC computers, plus AKAI S5000/6000 samplers with OS 1.3 or later, as well as EMU or Kurzweil samplers that can import WAV files. The collection also includes a 24-page booklet that provides information on all of the sounds, organized by type and sound length.
