The user manual for the Soundcraft BLU LINK CARD for VI Consoles 5033340.V provides

The Soundcraft BLU LINK CARD for VI Consoles provides 32 audio inputs and 32 outputs of I/O expansion to and from a BSS BLU LINK ring, allowing the console to interface with BSS London networked audio systems or to a PMC Personal Monitoring Controller.
A BLU LINK redundant ring enables up to 256 channels. The BLU LINK CARD features internal DIP switches that allow for a block of 32 sequential channels from the available 256 channels to be addressed by the card as separately selectable inputs and outputs.
The card can be set to function as either a clock master or a clock slave depending on the requirements of the application and system setup. When functioning as a clock slave, an included jumper cable must be connected from the card's wordclock output to the console's wordclock input.
