The 18-channel SPM18100 DX18 18-Channel System Generation 2 from Spektrum is comprised of a DX18 Mode 2 transmitter and an AR9020 receiver for RC aircraft. The DX18 transmitter is configured using Spektrum AirWare software and supports programming for airplanes, helicopters, and sailplanes. The software features an intuitive SimpleScroll interface, making navigating menus and changing settings as simple as "roll and click."
The transmitter is equipped with a programmable voice alert system that will automatically report telemetry information. A language menu provides four language options in addition to English. The DX18 also features a built-in sequencer, which enables you to program a sequence of switch-activated events with time delays in-between.
The Built-in servo balancer allows you to balance your servos from the transmitter; you can precisely balance the output of CCPM swash servos or multiple servos on a single control surface using a seven-point curve mix. The wireless Trainer Link gives instructors the option to wirelessly ''buddy box'' with another DSM2/DSMX transmitter. Once bound to another transmitter, the ModelMatch technology will allow the DX18 to re-link without having to go through the bind process again.
The DX18 can store up to 250 aircraft models in its internal memory, and features an SD slot for externally increased storage space. Both DX18 transmitter and its AR9020 receiver are X-Plus capable, meaning you can add up to eight extra switch channels by plugging the optional X-Plus 8-channel expander into the receiver's SRXL port. The receiver features a fast input-to-output response with an 11ms frame rate, 2048 resolution on the first ten channels, and one internal & two remote receivers for RF redundancy. Additionally, it provides advanced features to help keep your aircraft safe, such as SmartSafe failsafe and QuickConnect. The receiver is also telemetry compatible and supports Spektrum's optional Flight Log module for tracking RF link performance.
