Transvideo's Starlight HD 5" On-Camera Monitor/Recorder is an all-in-one monitoring and recording solution designed to keep apace of the decreasing size of video cameras. Built into a machined aviation-grade case barely larger than a smartphone and weighing less than half a pound, the Starlight HD is easy to transport and easy to use. It features an OLED touch panel screen that displays the image and allows you to interact with the monitor. Built into the monitor are display tools such as Waveform, Histogram, Vectorscope, and 1-to-1 pixel.
The monitor supports 3G-SDI input and records to Class 10 SD cards, one included, using H.264 compression providing you instant dailies. A 3G-SDI output provides a reclocked video signal, helping to prevent the signal from degrading as it travels down your SDI workflow. HFLIP and VFLIP are built-into the monitor so you can operate your camera from the monitor in almost any space or location, including upside down or into a mirror. The monitor supports ARRI and Sony metadata over HD-SDI, allowing you to generate pdf reports of your footage.
