The TVU Networks MARC-1 is a weather-resistant enclosure for the detachable modem module of the TVUPack TE8200. The MARC-1 enables users to move the modem enclosure to the roof of a vehicle for optimal RF performance without requiring additional modems or antennas. The MARC-1's versatile and portable design enables field crews to mount the enclosure on any standard ENG vehicle in a wide range of configurations. The system can be permanently mounted to any standard ENG vehicle or can use optional magnetic connectors for safe and secure temporary mounting across multiple vehicles.
When mounted to the roof of an ENG vehicle, the MARC-1 provides superior resiliency for the TVUPack's multiple 3G/4G/LTE connections and gives camera crews the ability to transmit live video with superior picture quality, even while the vehicle is moving. The MARC-1 can also be mounted to a free standing tripod to allow field crews to move the TVUPack's modem module to locations with stronger bandwidth independently of the camera setup.
The MARC-1 is a plug-and-play solution that can convert the TVUPack TE8200 from a backpack to a vehicle-mounted configuration within seconds. With the MARC-1, the TE8200 modem module is connected to the transmitter via an included custom extended USB power cable without the need for additional power sources.
