The ULTRAPOWER UXDS-1 Digital Underwater Strobe Head from ULTRAMAX is a flash with a depth rating of 180'. It offers a guide number of 65.6' at ISO 100 (on land), a power rating of approximately 25 Watt-sec, a coverage angle of 60°, and a daylight-balanced color temperature of 5700K. There are 5 pre-flash settings to synchronize with the built-in flash of most digital compact cameras. Choose from power/brightness output levels of 10%, 25%, 50%, and 100%. The strobe also has slave functionality, allowing it to be triggered by the firing of another flash. Color-coded LED indicators tell you the selected pre-flash and flash output modes. The UXDS-1 runs on 4 AA batteries, which are available separately and are housed in a compartment that's completely isolated from the electronics in order to prevent water damage to the strobe if the compartment is accidentally opened or batteries are changed when the unit is still wet from a dive. Additionally, the strobe has a durable housing made of corrosion-resistant polycarbonate.
