The Vanguard Alta CA 204AGH Aluminum Tripod combines the 4-section aluminum legs with the GH-30 pistol grip head. The tripod can hold 11 lb of gear, and extends to 61.6". Its legs are secured by flip locks, and can be independently adjusted to 20°, 40°, 60°, and 80° angles. Each leg has an angled rubber foot for keeping the tripod from slipping on slippery surfaces.
The rapid center column has a built-in short column that allows you to shoot from just 8.5" above the ground for macro and low-angle photography. A ballast hook on the bottom of the center column provides a place to add weight for added stability.
The GH-30 pistol grip ball head combines the versatility of a 360° panning ball head with the unique feature of one-handed operation. To change your camera position, you simply turn the lock counter-clockwise to release the lock on the ball, reposition your camera, and turn the lock clockwise to lock the ball in position. This enables extremely fast adjustment while freeing your other hand to control your camera. An included QS-36 quick-release plate attaches to your camera via a 1/4"-20 mounting screw.
