The Varavon 103HD Fluid Video Head is an affordable tripod video head that weighs only 2.2 pounds and supports up to 13 pounds. Since it's lightweight, it can successfully be used mounted not only on tripods but also monopods. The mounting thread is 3/8" and the mounting base is flat. Accordingly, any tripod or monopod with a 3/8" screw and a flat base is compatible.
Included are a pan bar, a long mounting plate, and a quick-release camera plate. The pan bar attaches to one of two rosette adapters. The mounting plate can be moved forward and back to enable finding the center of gravity with different cameras, and it has ruler markings on one side to help with positioning. The camera plate features support pads and a locking pin in addition to a 1/4" camera screw.
