The walimex Pro Aptaris Universal XL Adjustable DSLR Cage with Extension Kit from B&H features a height-adjustable cage designed to protect DSLR cameras while providing multiple attachment points for accessories. An extension piece is included to add up to 3.5" of height to support taller bodied cameras, or cameras with battery grips attached.
The cage is made from anodized aluminum for a smooth, corrosion resistant finish. It features over two inches of height adjustment allowing you to use it with a variety of available DSLR cameras. Your camera mounts to the cage via a 1/4"-20 screw. Two included stoppers can be attached to the base to prevent your camera from twisting. If your camera's hot shoe is vertically aligned with its mounting screw you can use the included hot shoe stabilizer to lock your camera to the cage using your cameras hot shoe, providing a second attachment point.
The cage protects the camera body from the stress of attaching accessories directly to the camera. The included two-part handle attaches to the cage via a short rail, which can be positioned in many different configurations on the cage. Likewise, a cold-shoe adapter is also included which can be attached in various positions.
The extension piece adds up to 3.5" of height between the top handle module and camera platform. It features the same attachment/adjustment design as the cage and fits seamlessly providing the extra height adjustment without sacrificing stability. Six 1/4"-20 accessory mounting holes are built into the extension, allowing you to attach optional accessories to your rig without stressing the body of your camera.
