Charge up to 8 AA NiMH batteries with the Watson 8-Bay Rapid Charger and Chroma AA NiMH Batteries Kit from B&H. The versatile 8-bay unit takes optional AAAs and NiCd cells, too. Charging time is 3.6-4.6 h for AAs, and 1.6-2 h for AAAs. Eight LCD indicators give charging status for each battery, and patented technology charges different sizes and types simultaneously. The 8 supplied 1.2V, 2300mAh, mercury-free Chroma AAs are rechargeable up to 1000 times, and come in multiple colors. This kit also gives you 2 compact plastic cases that hold 4 batteries each and can be chained together.
The charger's intelligent microprocessor doles out the full amount of juice to each battery while preventing overcharging, thanks to Delta Voltage Protection. The Safety Timer with Automatic Timer Shut-Off senses when batteries are at full capacity and ceases charging. Automatic Charge Current Selection is programmed to choose the optimal current for batteries, while Reverse Polarity Protection, Alkaline, and Bad Battery Protection safeguard the charger and batteries against damage when AAs or AAAs are installed improperly. There's also a discharge function, allowing you to refresh the batteries prior to charging. Power is provided by an included, external AC adapter with switching 100-240V power for worldwide use, or by a supplied 12-24 VDC adapter which plugs into your car's cigarette lighter.
