The Zacuto C300 Z-Finder Recoil is a shoulder-mount rig for the Canon C300/C500. It includes the VCT Universal baseplate, Zgrip Relocator, C300/500 Helmet Kit, and C300/500 Z-Finder with Mounting Kit. It is designed to provide optimal balance whether shoulder mounted or on a tripod. When lenses and cameras are similar in weight, the balance point is where the lens meets the camera body. In this recoil rig, the balance point is directly over your shoulder. This requires focus, monitoring, and camera controls to be relocated forward, creating a lighter and shorter rig.
The VCT Universal Baseplate has a built-in, curved shoulder pad, a v-wedge tripod connector, 6.5" (16.5 cm) iris rods, and rows of 1/4"-20 threads along the sides for accessories. The recessed rod mount offers maximum accessory space under your camera lens.
The Zgrip Relocator is an articulating handgrip that incorporates the Grip Relocator for your Canon C100/300 removable control grip. It provides full articulation via lever, and a right-angle cable connects to the port on your camera. It offers trigger on/off control, lens aperture control, waveform, 1:1 zoom, zebras, and more.
The C300/500 Helmet Kit mounts directly to the top of the C300/500 in place of the Canon top handle. It offers multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 mounting threads to attach a variety of accessories. It includes a solid Recoil Handle top grip that accepts two cold-shoe accessories and that has a quick-release 15mm rod port.
The C300/500 Z-Finder with Mounting Kit allows you to position the camera LCD screen forward and off to the side to better enable shoulder-mounted shooting. The Mounting Kit attaches to an included Z-Rail mount and will allow forward/backward, side to side, and tilt adjustment of the Z-Finder. This kit includes the C300/500 Z-Finder with 1.8x magnification and anti-fog glass diopters. It works in tandem with included Helmet Kit.
