The DM7X Session Electronic 5-Piece Drum Kit from Alesis is designed to provide you with what you need to start e-drumming and includes a DM7X Advanced drum sound module, an 8" DMPad dual-zone snare pad, 3 DMPad single-zone tom pads, and a StealthKick 2 kick drum trigger pad with bass drum pedal and inverted beater. For cymbals, it provides a 10" hi-hat cymbal pad with pedal, a 10" chokable crash pad, and a 10" ride pad. The pads can be mounted with the included rack with mounting hardware while you can connect the pads to the sound module thanks to the included cable snake.
The DM7X Advanced module features 40 classic and modern style kits and allows you to create your own with any of its 385 available drum sounds. It also has an integrated metronome, along with 60 play-along tracks for practicing, as well as a 1/8" auxiliary input so you can connect your music player to jam along with your favorite tracks. Connecting the DM7X to external MIDI devices via its USB or 5-pin DIN MIDI connectors will allow you to use the drum kit to trigger external sounds. The kit's snare pad is dual-zoned, allowing you to play rim shots, while the crash pad can be choked for realistic playing.
