The pair of Elevate 5 Powered Studio Monitors from Alesis feature a 5" woofer and a 1" soft-dome silk tweeter. The high-frequency driver is surrounded by an elliptical waveguide. Directional Articulation technology creates a wider "sweet spot" for critical listening, while minimizing audio reflections from nearby surfaces.
The Elevate 5 monitors are ideal for multimedia, gaming, desktop audio, or use with a mobile device. The custom-designed, high-density wood cabinet boasts a full sound from a space-saving format. Bass porting provides an extended low end, while radial-edge baffles reduce distortion-causing edge diffraction. Magnetic shielding allows the Elevate 5 monitors to be safely used near sensitive video displays and other electronic equipment.
The front panel provides a convenient volume control, which also serves as a power switch, paired with a blue LED indicator. The Elevate 5 monitors are equipped with an internal power supply, so there is no bulky external adapter. Left and right RCA inputs are located on the rear panel. The rear panel also features a Bass Boost switch. An 1/8" stereo headphone output is provided on the front panel. The Elevate 5 monitors deliver 40 Watts of continuous power, or 20 Watts per speaker.
