User manual for the American Dynamics VideoEdge NVR 4.2 2U Rack-Mount ADVER24R5D1D
The user manual for the American Dynamics VideoEdge NVR 4.2 2U Rack-Mount ADVER24R5D1D provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Surveillance - Surveillance Video - Network Video Recorders (NVRs).
The American Dynamics 21TB VideoEdge NVR 4.2 2U Rack-Mount Server with 4 Camera Licenses is a recorder designed to record and manage video from standard, high-definition and Mp cameras and is compatible with both 4:3 and HD 16:9 aspect ratio video formats. It supports up 128 dual-streaming cameras, and a total of 800 Mb/s of video throughput (400 Mb/s to disc/400 Mb/s to clients). The VideoEdge NVR enables multiple video streams for live, record, alarm bump, and meta-data collection. The NVR supports MJPEG, MPEG-4, and H.264 video compression technologies in a non-blocking architecture. The variety of available video compression options provide a flexible configuration and connectivity to many of the leading IP cameras and encoders on the market. It has a 21TB useable RAID5 video storage. The various VideoEdge appliances are based on a SUSE Linux distribution that is installed as JeOS (Just enough Operating System). As an appliance, the NVR delivers high-performance camera management and video recording to disk, while maintaining network security. Combined with its open system architecture, you can deploy any number of cameras and scale up as needed, adding camera licenses at any given time. This provides a scalable solution from a single NVR to a large multi-site architecture, and supports multi-channel audio input for a robust enterprise video management solution. Embedded video analytics allow you to greatly improve the efficiency of your security officers, loss prevention investigators and operators, as suspicious activity and behavior is flagged in real-time. Using video analytics and robust motion-based meta-data, searching for recorded video is remarkably fast, taking only seconds to search days of video. Analyze direction, enter, exit, loitering, object removed, object left behind or abandoned, and shelf sweep. All analytics capabilities are licensed to the server and can be dynamically allocated from one camera to another. VideoEdge’s advanced network architecture provides built-in dynamic bandwidth management. Clients connected to VideoEdge through a narrow bandwidth connection can view high-quality video in real-time. This functionality provides the ability to cap the data transmitted over the LAN, enabling the NVR to co-exist with other applications operating on the same bandwidth. This ensures good-quality video from any location over a LAN, WAN, or public connection. It features an intuitive administrative client for a greatly enhanced user experience when installing and managing your NVR. The victor client is a unifier of security, surveillance, and event management. From a single interface, you can leverage VideoEdge’s high-performance video streaming, audio, motion meta-data, and expansive feature set, in addition to live/ recorder video from Intellex DVRs and HDVR hybrid recorders (sold separately).
