The amp can deliver a clean tone, though Ampeg's proprietary Scrambler Overdrive can be utilized to add distortion to taste. Tonal possibilities are further augmented by Ampeg's signature Ultra Hi/Lo selectors.

This combo amp also has two auxiliary inputs—one 1/4" and one 1/8"—for playing along with external sound sources, while a headphone jack allows you to practice quietly and discreetly. A 60° monitoring angle directs the sound closer to your ears, but an unbalanced XLR out allows you to port your sound directly into a mixer or PA. Comparably lightweight at 45 lb, this amp is a portable option for many practice situations.
