The Apricorn Velocity Duo x2 provides two SATA III interfaces for your Windows or Mac desktop computer. It connects to your motherboard via a PCIe 2.0 x2 slot to support up to two optional 2.5" storage drives, which offer extra storage space for your computer. In addition, this card supports SSDs that enable the computer to boot up faster as well as access and save data quicker when compared to standard hard drives. When the drives are software configured for RAID 0, they can transfer data to your system up to 800 MB/s. Included with the card is a downloadable Apricorn EZ Gig Cloning Windows software program with Data Select that copies the contents from one drive to another. This program along with a Marvell 9230 chipset lets you utilize the storage drive connected to the card as a bootable drive.
