Bluetooth-capable, the Apollo Mini 1x 336 Thermal Imaging Clip-On from Armasight is a clip-on attachment that converts a daytime riflescope into a thermal imaging device. Its FLIR Quark 2 uncooled microbolometer detects long-wave infrared and allows you to see heat emanating from humans, animals, jet or combustion engines. It also offers visibility in total darkness through fog, smoke, foliage, and dust. The sensor has resolution of 336x256, 17µm pixel size, and refresh rate of 60 Hz. The optical system features a 19mm f/1.25 germanium lens with 1x magnification and digital zoom of up to 4x. Because this device is intended to be used as a clip-on attachment, the focus is fixed from 5m to infinity. To help you with aiming and fast target acquisition, this device offers a multi-color digital reticle.
The built-in OLED SVGA video display features 800x600-pixel resolution and allows several viewing palettes: White Hot, Black Hot, Sepia, and OEM Custom. For documenting your observations, the scope is capable of relaying videos through a video-out port in NTSC and PAL formats. Use the 9-pin connector cable for updating the device software and to relay videos. Additionally, the operating system allows you to enhance video outputs with a selection of imaging filter algorithms.
To enhance versatility, this imager also features Bluetooth compatibility, a wireless remote control, digital compass, digital inclinometer, and a battery status indicator.
To enable you to use it on any of your missions, the device is designed to withstand extreme temperatures and offers water-resistant performance. You can mount it on Picatinny or Weaver-style rails and detach via a quick-release. This thermal imager can be powered by one CR-123 alkaline or rechargeable battery, compatible external battery pack, or optional 6-12V power supply with a current output of 600mA.
