The TI-5105 TS/i.LINK Converter from Astro Design is a unit designed to perform interface conversions from MPEG2 Transport Stream signals (DVB-ASI/SPI) to i.LINK and from i.LINK to DVB-ASI. This unit is ideal for work with HDV-standard VTR decks and cameras, D-VHS, and DVB-ASI/SPI used in digital broadcasting systems.
This unit allows you to add a copy control function (compliant with DTC standards) when IEEE1394 is outputted. The unit also allows you to analyze and display TS (DVB-ASI/SPI) signals.
The bit rate of TS signals on this model can be set from 100 Kbps to 60 Mbps. Settings programmed into the unit can be stored and are retained even after powering it down, allowing you to save them for future use. An optional DC 12V power supply is available to allow for portable applications, such as working from a vehicle.
