User manual for the Avid Pro Tools HD Native Thunderbolt Interface and 9920-65110-00
The user manual for the Avid Pro Tools HD Native Thunderbolt Interface and 9920-65110-00 provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Pro Audio - Computer Audio - Audio Interfaces & Systems.
The Pro Tools HD Native Thunderbolt Interface and HD OMNI Interface Bundle from Avid is a music and post-production core system that allows the professional to create complex, high-quality audio productions, using the full capabilities of Pro Tools HD software in a lower-cost, native solution. Pro Tools HD and HDX systems deliver both card-based and computer-based DSP, but with an incremental increase in cost. With the Pro Tools HD Native system, a single PCI card handles the mixing and routing duties, with the rest of the DSP processing handled by the computer. Now Avid has taken the card and housed it in a Thunderbolt-equipped chassis for enhanced portability when paired with a Thunderbolt-equipped laptop computer. Pro Tools software has been the industry-standard digital audio production platform for years. Pro Tools HD 11 software tightly integrates the HD Native hardware and computer together as one, delivering performance and reliability, even with large mixes. It includes all the tools, advanced workflows, virtual instruments, and plug-ins needed to compose, record, edit, and mix music and/or sound for picture. The HD OMNI interface can be used to record instrument and vocal performances, while providing dedicated cue mixes for artists and monitoring their performance through a discrete mix. Overdub and Foley recording capabilities are available for post production, in addition to creating monitor mixes with up to 7.1 channels. 7.1 mixes can be folded down to almost any channel configuration subset required. For those occasions when the Pro Tools software doesn't need to be launched, or the computer turned on, the interface features a built-in, customizable, 14-input monitor mixer, allowing for the continued monitoring of external sources, such as keyboards, drum machines, and digital music players.
