The user manual for the Aviom DS48 48 x 16 Digital Snake System DS48 provides necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Pro Audio - Cables & Adapters - Audio Snake Cables.

The DS48 48 x 16 Digital Snake System from Aviom provides digital connectivity for up to 48 inputs and 16 returns between the stage and the FOH (front of house) mix position. A single Cat-5e cable is used for interconnection via the included pair of SB4 System Bridges. Cables can be up to 500' long.

Three AN-16/i-M Mic Input Modules provide the 48 inputs. Each input channel features a three-segment level meter, a continuously variable gain knob, a phase reverse switch, 48V phantom power, and a rumble filter with a roll-off of 85 Hz. Each input module also has a built-in passive splitter allowing the input signals to be sent to additional consoles, recording devices, etc. The AN-16/i v.2 Input Module provides the 16 line-level returns. The four AN-16/o v.4 Output Modules feature 16 balanced DB25 multi-pin connector outputs each. The analog outputs can be set (per channel pair) to +24 dBu, +18 dBu, +4 dBu, or mic level.

The DS48 can be used with nearly any console, and all signals in the system can be split as needed, by connecting additional output modules.
