The tripod's reverse-folding legs bring its folded length to 25.6", and its split center column lets the head sit just 21.3" above the ground at its lowest setting.
Integrated into the top of the center column is a leveling base to allow you to level the head without individually adjusting each leg. The 9-layer carbon fiber legs keep the tripod's weight at 5.6 lb, and the dust-resistant twist locks keep the legs at your desired height. The rubber feet twist to reveal metal spikes, allowing you to use the tripod on a variety of surfaces.
The S4H Hybrid Video/Stills Head has a fluid drag system and spring balance, with 360° panning rotation for smooth camera moves, and there are separate pan and tilt lock levers for lock off shots. The Arca-type compatible quick release plate can slide backward and forward to help balance the camera. A security clamp system holds the plate securely to the head once balanced. A bubble level aids in setting up level horizons, and an adjustable pan handle can be mounted to either side of the head using the built-in mounting rosettes.
