The Blackmagic Cinema Camera MFT Mount Kit w/Handgrip & External Battery is a B & H kit that includes the 2.5K Cinema Camera in Passive Micro Four Thirds, and a low profile handgrip rig both from Blackmagic Design. The kit also includes a Switronix Power Base 70 V-mount battery, charger, and a Pearstone padded carry bag for the camera and accessories. The camera itself features a passive MFT mount for use with manual MFT mounted lenses and it also easily adapts to other mounts, such as PL, via available adapters, a 2.5K sensor with 13 stops of dynamic range, and records either 12-bit RAW files or compressed files using the Avid DNxHD codec or Apple's ProRes codec. The camera records to available 2.5" form factor SSD media.
Shoot handheld with the low-profile Blackmagic handgrips, which provide control and a secure grip on the camera. The included Switronix battery also includes a regulator block with a 12" cable that that will power the Blackmagic Cinema Camera nearly four times as long as the camera's internal battery. The battery features an integrated battery test button with four LEDs. You can mount the battery to the camera using the integrated 1/4"-20 screw, and the three 1/4"-20 female mounting points allow for attaching it to a tripod or for accessories. The battery also features a V-mount for use with available V-mount accessories and battery plates, and the included Powerbase charger features LED charge status indicators and replenishes the external battery in four to five hours. When time comes to pack up, the included padded carry bag features padded movable interior dividers and a light blue interior that makes it easier to find those stray accessories and small items that seem to disappear inside bags with dark interiors.
