Get involved in the hobby of metal detecting with the Commando Metal Detector from Bounty Hunter. This general-purpose metal detector is well-suited for both coin and relic hunting anywhere people may have gathered and dropped objects. The open 7" concentric search coil makes pinpointing objects easy as the center always has the highest returns. Detection results are displayed on a dial indicated meter which shows signal type. Results are also indicated audibly through either the built-in speaker or headphone output.
Two analog knobs provide control of the unit's sensitivity and discrimination functions. You can choose between an all metal mode that provides returns on all metals or manually adjust the unit to discriminate against certain metals to better filter results. Returns are shown on a analog meter and are also indicated by two audible tones that differentiate metal type. The unit is powered by two 9V batteries, which are not included.
