The CEntrance HiFi-M8 24-Bit 192 kHz Portable DAC Amp (Combo Connector Version) is designed for portable and desktop Hi-Fi audiophile listening. The unit enables you to bypass your computer, iPhone, iPod, or iPad's internal digital to analog converter, and instead utilize the device's dedicated dual core XMOS microprocessor as a USB DAC and iPhone dock. You can connect either one pair of balanced headphones using the left and right XLR connectors or two pairs of unbalanced headphones using each XLR as an unbalanced stereo 1/4" TRS output.
The device includes controls for adjusting 3 levels of impedance for different kinds of headphones, 3 levels of gain, 3 levels of bass boost, 3 levels of treble boost, and a volume knob. You can operate the unit using an external power supply or using its internal lithium-polymer battery with approximately 5-7 hours of run time. You can also use the device to charge your iPhone or tablet while playing when plugged into the AC power supply.
