The Century Precision Optics 4x4 Essential 5-Filter Kit with Holder is a photography kit consisting of five filters, a filter holder, and a padded pouch. The filters include one ND .6 Solid, one ND .6 Soft Edge Graduated, one Circular Polarizer, one Black Frost 1/2, and one Skintone Enhancer.
The ND .6 Solid filter controls exposure or depth of field without affecting color or contrast. The ND .6 Soft Edge Graduated filter balances exposure within a scene. The Circular Polarizer filter minimizes glare and unwanted reflections, saturates colors, deepens blue skies, improves contrasts, and penetrates haze. The Black Frost 1/2 filter flares highlights, mutes colors, and tones down contrast, without degrading image quality or black saturation. Skintone Enhancer adds warmth to skin tones, and is ideal for romantic close-ups.
Century 4x4" filters fit neatly into standard mattebox filter holders, as well as into the included 4" Filter Holder, which can accommodate up to 2 glass filters. The holder comes with one 77 mm Wide Angle adapter ring for most popular filter diameters. The ring can be easily removed with a pull of the brass tab and exchanged for available common filter sizes (110, 114, 58, 62, 67, 72, 82, 86 and 95 mm); or you can simply screw on a conventional step ring to accommodate a smaller filter size. Special nylon thumb screws are included to ensure a secure filter hold. The kit also comes with a lightweight, multi-compartment padded pouch outfitted with a belt loop for easy, hands-free toting. The Filter Holder includes its own separate pouch.
