The SG300-28MP 28-Port PoE Gigabit Ethernet Switch from Cisco allows small businesses to connect its employees with each other and with all of the servers, printers, IP phones, and other devices they use. This mountable switch offers 128MB of RAM, 16MB flash memory, and 26 Gigabit Ethernet plus 2 Gigabit Ethernet Combo ports. 24 of these ports are PoE ports, which provide power over a single Ethernet cable to devices such as IP telephony, wireless, and IP surveillance. It also prioritizes services such as voice and video to help ensure consistent network performance for all services. For security to keep your network safe, this switch features denial-of-service prevention, guest virtual LANs, access control lists, and more.

Cisco has included a device manager software that provides a web-based interface to guide users without IT experience in setup, security, and quality of service traffic prioritization. Cisco has other features that automatically detects the devices connected to the network and displays the serial numbers and IP address. It then instructs the devices to use the appropriate bandwidth parameters and the specific level of security.
