The DGS-1016A comes equipped with a variety of energy saving abilities. If the port on the switch has no link that port is automatically shut down, thus saving large amounts of power that would have otherwise been wasted. The DGS-1016A can also detect connected cable lengths and adjust the power accordingly, saving more energy without affecting the network performance.
