In less dire situations you can send 160 character text messages to loved ones, and they can send them back. Utilizing the Bluetooth capabilities, you can pair the SE with your iOs or Android smartphone or tablet. This allows you to control and use the functions of your inReach right from your smartphone or tablet so it can be left in your pocket or bag. View routes, waypoints, or tracks with detailed topographic maps or U.S. NOAA charts downloaded to your device while you are in the field. You can even sync up for direct access to your contacts, and post to social media.
Using the MapShare portal, friends and family can follow along on your journey. You can select who you want your followers to be, and choose your desired privacy settings. The rate that tracking data is sent is adjustable from 10 minutes to 4 hours. With an optional upgraded subscription, points can be sent in as little as 2 minutes. The unit is IP67 rated to resist incidental water exposure, and can be submerged to 1 meter for up to a half hour. The rechargeable lithium polymer battery lasts up to 10 hours on a charge.

Hello,I replaced the rv radio, which controls back,and turn signal cameras. How can I wire it to have the backup camera on all the time as a rear view mirror function, except when blinkers are on.
