The user manual for the Digital Watchdog VMAX 960H Flex 16-Channel DVR DW-VF960H164T provides necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Surveillance - Surveillance Video - Digital Video Recorders (DVRs).

Connect up to 16 cameras to the $VMAX 960H Flex 16-Channel DVR from Digital Watchdog to record, archive, and view surveillance footage. The DVR includes a 4TB pre-installed hard drive disk for storing information captured by the connected cameras. The standalone records footage in real time at 960H, D1, 2CIF, and CIF resolutions. Using H.264 video and ADPCM audio compression, the DVR works to provide clear footage when distributing the content. Firmware upgrades, Single-Touch Backup and Event management, True DVR Health Check, along with other DVR features can be controlled using the DVR's front panel, or with the included USB mouse or IR remote control.

With a built-in DVD-RW and two USB ports, information can be removed from the device and stored onto a disc or other storage device. An integrated 4 channel Signal Extender can be used to amplify the video signal and extend video coverage up to 2950' between camera and DVR (from CH1 to CH4 only).
