The DropSafe Speed Reduction System for Select UAVs from DJI is a parachute that helps protect your aircraft and attached equipment - such as an expensive camera - in the event of a catastrophic failure. When deployed at altitudes of 20' or higher, it helps the slow descent rate following motor failure to lessen the changes and severity of damage.
Powered by separately available 16g CO2 canisters, the system can be configured to deploy automatically when the flight control system detects a serious malfunction. Additionally, it can be triggered manually programming a "panic" button on your transmitter. A back-up battery safeguards the system, so if the main flight battery fails, the DropSafe can still be manually deployed even if the flight control system is inoperable.
Note: Separately available CO2 canisters are required but not included with the DropSafe. Please use CO2 canisters at your own risk.
