User manual for the Ewa-Marine A-BM Underwater Housing for Blackmagic Cinema EM A-BM
The user manual for the Ewa-Marine A-BM Underwater Housing for Blackmagic Cinema EM A-BM provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Camcorders - Underwater Equipment - Camcorders & Housings.
The A-BM Underwater Housing from Ewa-Marine is a waterproof housing designed for the Blackmagic Cinema Camera and Production Camera 4K. It has a depth rating of 32.8'. Built for durability, it is manufactured from double-laminated PVC film. All camera controls are operable through the PVC.
The housing features an optically neutral flat glass lens port that accommodates and protects Canon EF and Micro Four Thirds lenses with maximum lengths and diameters of 3.9" / 100 mm, and maximum filter diameters of 3.2" / 82 mm. The supplied CA77 Adapter screws onto camera lenses with a 77mm filter thread, fixing the front element of the lens to the interior of the port to hold the lens securely in place. The included 72-77mm step-up ring adapts lenses with 72mm threads for use with this CA77 adapter.
The housing is equipped with a pair of corrosion-resistant clamping rails designed to withstand the harshness of seawater. These rails fit together to form a watertight seal, and are easily tightened via knurled thumb-screw knobs. The A-BM housing is supplied in a yellow carrying case with a waterproof interior. Also included is an initial supply of CD5 drying agent to absorb moisture in the housing, and foam padding to take up any empty space when shooting above water. Underwater, the water pressure will compress the housing, eliminating excess space.
