The VC-1L Large Rain Cape from Ewa-Marine provides wet-weather protection for camcorders up to 9.1". It is manufactured from PVC and has an integrated, optically neutral flat glass port. Camcorders can be attached to the front port by means of an included Ewa-Marine CA adapter. This adapter system attaches the cape to a camcorder's lens and holds the front port in front of the lens like a clear filter. A flap alongside the cape can be opened to access a camcorder's built-in LCD monitor. Within the cape, a camcorder can be handheld, or it can be used with a tripod. Press-studs along the bottom of the cape allow it to be closed for further protection from the elements or when placing a covered camcorder on a wet surface.
Depending on the front diameter of your camcorder, a separately-sold step-up ring may be needed to use one of the two included CA adapters. One of the adapters will screw onto a lens with a 52mm front filter thread, and the other will screw onto a lens with a 49mm front filter thread.
