The Fantasea Line FG16 Underwater Housing and Canon PowerShot G16 Digital Camera Kit from B&H bundles the FG16 waterproof case with the G16 point-and-shoot camera it holds. This package enables you to shoot beneath the surface to a maximum depth of 200'. The housing includes a pre-installed moisture detector to alert you if its watertight seal has been compromised.
The FG16 is constructed from tough, injection-molded polycarbonate and is shock-resistant for extra durability. The camera's lens is accommodated by a built-in flat port. Full access to all camera functions is made possible by labeled, ergonomically designed, mechanical controls. A dedicated video recording button makes movie-shooting simple in any capture mode. Additionally, a removable flash diffuser softens the light of the camera's built-in flash to reduce glare and hard shadows. It can be replaced by the removable double fiber optic cable connector, which allows you to attach up to 2 optional external flash units.
Canon's PowerShot G16 camera is a compact, advanced point-and-shoot featuring a 12.1MP 1/1.7" CMOS image sensor and DIGIC 6 processor to produce sharp still images and Full HD 1080p video. The processor offers a range of speed-related assets throughout the camera, including a maximum sustained full-resolution continuous shooting rate of 9.3 fps for over 500 shots. The Canon 5x optical zoom lens provides a 35mm-equivalent focal length range of 28-140mm, covering wide-angle to telephoto-length perspectives. A maximum aperture of f/1.8-2.8 allows for effective low-light shooting and shallow depth of field effects. The camera is equipped with both an optical viewfinder and a 3.0", 922k-dot LCD monitor.
