The Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD5 ATX Motherboard lets you to build a Windows system using Intel's 6th-generation of Skylake processors and up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM. It comes with an LGA1151 socket and four DIMM slots, which can support overclocked memory up to 3466 MHz. To deliver data quickly to your system, it provides two 32 Gb/s PCIe x4 M.2 slots and allows you to configure your M.2 SSDs into a RAID array. It is equipped with three SATA Express and eight SATA connectors for utilizing your existing drives. For external devices, two USB 3.1 ports are built into the back panel to quickly transfer data up to 10 Gb/s. One of these ports is built using a Type-C form factor, which has a reversible design and is smaller than the other Type-A USB 3.1 port.
This motherboard sports three PCIe 3.0 x16 slots that support multiple graphics cards linked via 2-way SLI or 2-way/3-way CrossFire. Additionally, four PCIe 3.0 x1 slots are available. With integrated Intel HD graphics and the motherboard's HDMI port, you can view 4K visuals on your 4K-compatible display. DisplayPort and DVI-D displays can also connect with this motherboard to provide you with a three-monitor setup. To complete the multimedia experience, Realtek ALC1150 outputs high quality audio through the motherboard's optical S/PDIF Out connector and five audio jacks.
Gigabyte has outfitted this motherboard with two Intel Gigabit LAN controllers, which can be linked to offer your system networking performance and redundancy.
