User manual for the Hammond Sk2 - Portable Hammond Organ and Stage Keyboard SK2
The user manual for the Hammond Sk2 - Portable Hammond Organ and Stage Keyboard SK2 provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Pro Audio - Musical Instruments - Stage Pianos & Organs.
The Sk2 from Hammond carries on the tradition of the original drawbar/tonewheel concept first developed in 1934. The dual-manual, ultra-light (compared to the original) digital recreation provides the essential keyboard sounds required to play any show in any style, including a genuine and vintage-perfect Hammond organ along with an advanced digital Leslie processor. In addition to the authentic tonewheel voices, the keyboard adds other performance sounds including an acoustic grand, Rhodes, Wurli, and FM pianos. Clavinet, harpsichord, accordion, wind, brass, synthesizer, and tuned percussion voices are also available, and can be played "solo" or added to the organ voices. The Organ Generator may be switched to provide authentic models of the Vox Continental, Vox Jaguar and Farfisa combo organs, all of which can be registered in their original forms. A fourth organ mode provides thirty-two ranks of classical ("Church") pipe organ voices derived from the company's model 935 church organ. Editing capabilities allow for controlling/adding volume, timbre, leakage, and motor noise to each of the ninety-six digital tonewheels, faithfully delivering any Hammond organ's individual personality, with the ability to save these profiles for instant recall. Twelve factory digital tonewheel profiles ranging from "showroom clean" to "road worn" are available for instant personalizing. Chorus/vibrato, percussion, key-click and overdrive are adjustable, with all settings saved with every preset. The Pipe Organ voices are also scaling/voicing capable. The Fatar semi-weighted keyboards are designed to feel like a vintage B-3, yet remain comfortable for any pianist, with variable touch "depth." The Sk2 can be used as a MIDI controller, with the ability to address three external zones. An onboard MP3/WAV music player is available for playing backing tracks, break music, educational aids, or any other tunes combined with the organ's stereo output. A physical Leslie speaker can be connected via a dedicated Leslie jack, as can various optional foot controller pedals.
