The DJ Control AIR S from Hercules is a 2-channel USB DJ controller for mobile DJs, home DJs, and enthusiasts that establishes MIDI control over 2 virtual decks using the included DJUCED DJ software. The unit allows you to mix, scratch, and manipulate audio files from your Mac or Windows computer.
The unit features a unique infrared AIR Control MIDI system, allowing MIDI manipulation over effects, and other features without any physical contact. You simply wave your hands in front of the sensor and manipulate audio based on the distance and velocity of your hands. The unit also includes a pair of 3.9" rubberized jog wheels for scratching, cueing, nudging, and pitch bending. A set of tempo sliders allow for beat matching and a bank of FX buttons enable triggering effects.
The DJ Control Air S also features 8 velocity sensitive backlit illuminated pads for triggering samples and hot cues, 3 EQ knobs per channel for mixing, a record button for recording the mix to software, and a MAGIC button for creating loops that can be triggered using the four pads per channel. The unit features an 1/8" audio output for connection to sound systems/powered speakers and a separate 1/4" headphone output for monitor cuing. The unit is USB powered and ships with a USB cable.
